Must read thread: Ongoing organised, planned and systematic Islamist terror and anti-India campaign against Hindus/Indians in #Leicester intended to isolate and attenuate Hindu/Indian interests the #UnitedKingdom. 1/20
#Leicester is home to the second largest Hindu population in Europe and is the heartland for Hindu diaspora in the United Kingdom. It is known for hosting delightful Hindu festivals, the biggest of which is Diwali. 2/20
#Muslims make up roughly 5.7% of the population in the #UK, whereas #Hindus make up roughly 1.7%. The majority of Muslims in the UK are from Bangladesh and Pakistan and maintain strong ties with their home countries religious, political and social communities. 3/20
Post India vs. Pakistan Asia Cup cricket match on August 28 in #Leicester, dispersing Islamists from several UK towns started making divisive statements against Hindus/Indians, shouted racist slurs, and incited violence damaging local Hindu property. 4/20
In the days that ensued, radicalised muslims from from several UK cities were called, assembled by local #Leicester Muslims to hound Leicester's streets in search of Hindus to heckle or attack. 5/20
#Islamist’s hatred for Hindus and Indians over the next few days fuelled anti-Hindu and anti-India violence in the city. Local Muslims in #Leicester organised extremist Muslims from several UK towns with the aim of tracking and attacking Hindus in Leicester. 6/20
Over 50 Hindu properties and vehicles were vandalised by radicalised Islamist gangs in #Leicester during this time. Even more worryingly, they attacked Hindu women and children, brandished knives and even attempted to stab a Hindu man. 7/20
Supported by #Pakistani#disinformation ecosystem, local Islamists ran targeted #misinformation and #fakenews campaigns with an objective of fomenting further violence against local #Hindus of #Leicester City. Rumours, allegations, and hate speech were delivered. 8/20
Neighbourhood Islamists like @Majstar7 & anti-India fanatics like @sunny_hundal spread rumours, tried to depict the premeditated violence against Hindus as a post-match brawl, propagated that it was Hindus who attacked Muslims. #Twitter responded with a 24-hour ban. 9/20
Towing the line of islamists in the UK, its media has inaccurately characterised the anti-Hindu violence in #Leicester as being inspired by #Hindutva, and there has been no mention of the systematic and organised attack on Hindus that followed the events of August 28. 10/20
In addition, a local imam in #Leicester openly supported violence against Hindus, blamed it on India's current political climate under @BJP, & attempted to tarnish the image of highly educated and professional Hindus—a narrative that the British media is blindly following. 11/20
However, Islamists in the UK did not stop there. A meeting was planned for September 17 at 3 PM in Birmingham, B6 7TG, UK. Attacks on #Hindus in Leicester were the subject of the said gathering. 12/20
In response to the recent attacks against them, #Hindus in #Leicester hastily organised a peaceful protest march on September 17 in order to bring attention to the issue and ensure that the local administration takes immediate action to protect the Hindu community. 13/20
Hindus of Indian descent led the march who chanted motivational Hindu and Indian slogans and expressed hope for peace in #Leicester. However, they were attacked by thousands of Islamists who threw rocks and glass bottles at them, thereby severely wounding many. 14/20
According to Leicestershire Police "Officers attempted to engage with the group and remain with them whilst additional officers were called in. They sought to keep actions lawful but, regrettably, the situation led to disorder,” 15/20
Displaying blatant contempt for British law and the UK's apparent commitment to religious freedom, the same evening, Islamist extremists in #Leicester vandalised the Leicestershire Brahma Samaj Shivalaya (#HinduTemple) and desecrated holy Hindu saffron flag. 16/20
Over the past 20 days, Islamist organisations and individuals from across the UK have attacked the Hindu community in Leicester on numerous occasions, but the police have not yet made any serious charges against any of the attackers. 17/20
When one considers the trends and patterns tied with the prevalent Hindu hatred in the UK fostered by Islamists, foreign governments, and anti-India lobbyists, Leicester is simply the tip of the iceberg. 18/20
Over 80% of Hindus in the UK claim that they have been the targets of Hinduphobes, and the attack on the #HinduTemple and the burning of the holy Hindu saffron flag in #Leicester were both driven by the rampant Hindu hate spread by Islamists and anti-Indian entities in #UK. 19/20
To sum up, attacks on the Hindu community in #Leicester are part of a broader hate campaign against the Hindu/Indian community in the UK by Islamists and anti-India entities, and one must delve deeper to protect the Hindu/Indian interests in the UK. 20/20 @leicspolice

At a virtual event hosted in DC on January 26th to coincide with India's Republic Day, #HamidAnsari, together with a US Senator and three US House of Representatives, attacked India's efforts to preserve the pluralistic ideals of its constitution. 1/22
Former Vice-President #HamidAnsari's remarks on the "rise of cultural nationalism" and "intolerance" in India during the virtual event ended up drawing a strong rebuke from Indians and experts all over the world. 2/22
This isn't the first time that #HamidAnsari has polarised Indians. In an interview with Rajya Sabha TV on Aug 9, 2017, he had said, "Yes, that (the Muslim community is feeling apprehensive) is a correct assessment", prompting criticism & condemnation. 3/22
