Russia’s offensive on Ukraine's eastern and southern fronts have intensified as Ukraine prepares to receive tanks from allies. Meanwhile, pro-Kremlin sources are amplifying forged diplomatic letters targeting refugees.

As Ukrainian forces retreated from Soledar following weeks of battle, shelling across the Bakhmut-Donetsk axis intensified and hit several civilian residential areas. @DFRLab and others geolocated targeted infrastructure and a build up of Russian assets.

Pro-Kremlin media falsely reported that European countries would deport Ukrainian refugees to serve in the military, including forged letters "written" by Ukraine’s ambassadors to Latvia and Lithuania.

Russian forces targeted infrastructure in #Kyiv, #Odesa, #Vinnytsia, #Sumy, & #Zaporizhzhia. That same day, Ukrainian forces shot down 60 of 70+ Russian missiles. However, data suggests that Russia is not striking Ukraine w/ the same intensity as at the beginning of the invasion.
Earlier this week, several people were killed in explosions at two Russian military airfields. Russia accused Ukraine of using a drone to strike Russian targets hundreds of kilometers from the border. bbc.com/news/world-eur…
