However the Ukrainian Catholic Church is switching to the Gregorian calendar from 1 September. So Christmas Day will not be on 25 December for all Catholics in the country - most seemed to switch this year anyway.

I tend to agree with Mikhail Khodorkovskiy.
A functioning, genuine Federation with free elections for each state would probably be the best solution for long term security once Putin is brought down.

#Bakhmut can likely hold for quite a bit longer yet. While they hold the town they can pick off huge numbers of #Russia's soldiers, which will eventually increase the pressure back home.
#Ukraine is also missing many troops, being hastily trained on new western equipment.

By the way, still very quiet in #Ukraine. Much fewer instances of even small scale shelling than usual.
