In 2017, classified intel indicated Egyptian President El-Sisi sought to give Trump $10 million.

in Jan 2017, a Cairo bank got an unusual letter from an group linked to Egyptian intelligence asking the bank to withdraw ~$10 million from the organization’s account—ALL IN CASH.🧐

Employees at the state-run National Bank of #Egypt stuffed $100 bills into 2 large bags, weighing a combined 200 pounds & containing what was then a sizable share of Egypt’s reserve of US currency. Four men arrived and carried away the bags.🤔

After the probe was BLOCKED by Trump appointees, the case ground to a halt. In 2019, Trump’s AG Bill William Barr raised doubts about whether there was sufficient evidence to continue the probe of Trump.

No probe = no evidence.🤬

At the same time, Trump was accusing the FBI of pursuing a “witch hunt” against him in its #TrumpRussia probe, and his appointees BLOCKED probes they claimed as partisan. Some career officials were wary of plunging the agency into yet another legal battle with Trump.🤦‍♀️

In June 2020, the prosecutor Barr hand-picked to take over the office leading the case closed the probe, which was BLOCKED by Trump minions from the get-go, citing “a lack of sufficient evidence to prove this case beyond a reasonable doubt.”

No investigation = no evidence.🤬

Per one person privy to DOJ’s internal discussions: “Every American should be concerned about how this case ended. DOJ is supposed to follow evidence wherever it leads—it does so all the time to determine if a crime occurred or not."

Except when Trump COVERS UP his crimes.🤬

Since the #TrumpEgypt case was closed, Egypt’s desire to influence US government officials was laid bare by the #bribery conviction of Sen. Bob Menendez, former chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

And we know Trump was “open for business” with corrupt regimes.🤬

While POTUS, Trump shifted US policy to benefit Sisi—whom he called “my favorite dictator.” In 2018, Trump released $195 million in military aid that the US withheld over human rights abuses—which had been opposed by his 1st Sec. of State—followed by $1.2 billion more.🤬

Yet again, a foreign nation sought to buy influence with Trump, and as usual, Trump happily played along in order to enrich himself.

NOW WAY should this corrupt fraud be allowed back in the White House.🤬
