All right! Time to continue on about Clinical Years

This will be brief since there's a long ways away to get to this phase. Dan korang akan tahu lebih banyak lagi nnt time dah masuk.

Clinical year starting year 3 until year 5. The learning is based on posting. You will be divided into small groups...

...and all of your batchmates will go into your respective posting. ie for Year 3 postings are Surgery, Medicine, Paediatrics, O&G and PHPM.

Each posting will take about 7-8 weeks. Your classes are depended on the Drs. If the Drs is in sg buloh hospital, then you will go there.

And if the Drs is in selayang hospital, you need to go there. You are allowed to bring your car in clinical years for this purpose.

Time Preclinical, Drs datang pada korang. But in Clinicals, korang datang pada Dr. Jadi jangan nak malas2 lagi. 🤣

The location available for classes are uitm sg buloh campus, selayang campus, teluk intan campus...

clinical training center(in sg buloh campus), hospital selayang, sg buloh and teluk intan.

The timetable also might varies to cope with your schedule and the Dr's schedule.

Mind you that they are physician who need to attend to their patients in the hospital, the patient comes first before you.

Yes, nanti korang akan selalu dengar that no matter what happens when you're a Dr, patients must always come first. NO MATTER WHAT! 😇

Next! At the end of every posting there will be end of posting exam (EOP) & at the end of semester there will be end of semester exam (EOS).

You cannot fail any posting in order to proceed into next year. Fail and you have to repeat for that year. (same as the preclinical)

There will be lectures, seminars, bedsides teaching & you will need to clerk real patients this time & present the cases at your lecturers.

This will go on and on until Year 5. Unless you make it interesting 😜

Once you've reached Year 5? Congratz!! Hardest part of your Medical School years begins.

Why? Well, at the end of the year 5, there will be Clinical Professional Exam. (Trust me, this is soo not like Year 2's Pro exam)

The questions are everything that you learn since year 1. So you can't afford to forget anything that you learn.

Fail, then you're given chance to retake supplement pro exam paper 6 months after that. Pass this exam then you will graduate. (Hooray!!!)

Fail, then you will repeat the whole year 5 with your junior who is taking the pro exam on the current year.

This is of course if you haven't failed during the Clinical Years

So that's a brief explanations about Clinical Years. You will know more once you've entered.

This is a long journey of a lifetime. So make sure that you are prepared to sacrifice many things throughout your MedSchool period.

Like what kind of thing? Sleep, holidays, money, happiness (lol okay kidding).
