Just sitting here thinking about how we're socialized to see women's bodies - how thinner bodies are considered more classy/respectable...
And how we sexualize thicker (hour glass, ass/tits, etc) bodies and totally dispose of fat bodies.
And how age perception plays into all this in terms of desirability (skinny bodies seen as less "womanly" so fetishized becase "girlish")
And how that 👆🏾also shapes how thicker women are allowed to dress, especially thicker GIRLS read as "too grown."
AND how in adulthood this sometimes shapes how men chose wives versus side chics/fuck buddies (sex objects)
Men who date and marry thin women because "respectable" but fuck thicker women and fetishize fat women because "object."
Or how "hoe" is dropped on thick women easily b/c the assumption is "promiscuous" solely b/c MEN think our purpose is to be used for sex.
Yep.

And the shitty part is, ultimately we're all objects.

Trophy or hole for dick.
The hard part for me is not desiring being the more "valued" object.

Not wanting to achieve some bullshit life goal of being a "trophy."
Which is hard when women are socialized to revolve our life around men and getting chose.
Which is partly how women uphold this shit, by playing into the hierarchy of "well at least EYE am the trophy, you're just the hoe."
And I get it,somewhat, cuz there absolutely is power and social capital in proximity to men.

But also... sis, no
AND how there's zero respect, understanding or autonomy offered in WANTING to be sexy *sometimes.*
Like, god forbid we wanna be sexy sometimes and other times not ..but STILL respected.

That's a total mind fuck for men/society.
Cuz in that scenario it's on OUR terms not theirs and well, we know women outside of men's/patriarchy's control are threatening.
Women are given no space to be complex lol the virgin/whore dichotomy is so stressful.

But I guess that's a diff convo for another day.
"It's science."

An evolutionary component to how we read reproductive vitality has nothing to do w/ creating a hierarchy of respect/worth.
So FOH with that take, thanks.
