Dig this:
I used to be awkward loser who never got a second date.
Then I discovered this incredible bit of dating advice from EverydayFeminism, and now I’m up to my ears in mad intersectional punani.
You can do it too!

2. Lame first date question: “Uh, so like, what do you do?”
Intersectional god-tier dating questions:
3. It’s handy that the article puts this question first. Because let’s be honest, if someone asks you this question on a first date and your answer is “No”, then maybe dating is not for you.
4. This is a tricky question to ask, since your date may think you are either implying they are (or should be) a sex worker or that you are one. Exercise caution.
Bonus points though if you throw in the words “misogynoir” & “pro-heauxism”. The heaux love that shit.
5. Discuss the Boycott, Divest, Sanctions Movement (BDSM) on your first date. A question like “Hey, so are you into BDSM?” is essential to determine whether you’ll have a second date with this person.
6. Some people may tell you that genocide is not a good topic of discussion on your first date.

NONSENSE. Those people are virgins & amateurs. Trust me, nothing says “romance” like recounting how white settlers killed off Native American tribes with smallpox-riddled blankets.
7. This question is handy when the bill comes and they expect you to pay it. Don’t let your date exploit you!
Show that you’re down with the struggle while potentially saving a few bucks.
8. This is crucial as an intersectional feminist. In your quest to destroy misogyny, don’t get fooled into thinking Islam is misogynistic!
Polygamy? niqabs? Wife-beating? Triple talaq? Women worth 1/2 a man?
Learn how they’re actually good things, because something something 9/11
9. So there you have it: go forth and get your intersectional romance on!

This article was brought to you by Lara Witt, author of other such intersectional hot takes as “white people are evil”.
As with many of these things, @uberfeminist has already done a top top thread on this article and it’s very excellent author Lara Witt.
If you enjoyed this thread and would like to know more about living intersectionally the EverydayFeminism way, see also my guide to “Siding With Whiteness” (which, if you haven’t already figured out, is evil).
Bonus date tip: What to say when your date asks if you are looking for a serious relationship.
