Amazon fulfillment centers don't boost employment, analysis finds @guardiantech - not surprising given these primarily employ low skill, low income, casual labour and give nothing back to the community.

Though I don't entirely agree with the premise of this article. A headquarters is quite different to a fulfilment centre.
My real worry for the next generation is that this sort of employment will become the norm for unskilled Labour.
No need to use AI and robotics because humans are cheaper and you can dump them cost free when you don't need them any more.

THREAD: I think we need to talk about the lefts stance on Party rebirth, & the holier than thou attitude that #Labour has on #libdems & tuition Fees. Given the rise of the far right & how much we actually agree on we really should be working together, so lets try to clear this up
For many of us @LibDems, we left @UKLabour when they voted & took us into Iraq.
Now the Labour left make the argument that Labour is not the same party that it was with Blair, & because Corbyn voted against Iraq; all must be forgiven. The party should be allowed to start afresh.
Fair enough. But if this was the case, why was Tim Farron nailed to the tuition fees cross by Labour campaigners at the last election? He voted AGAINST Fees in the same way Corbyn voted against Iraq.

After three years at Amazon, last week I started my new job @LambdaSchool where I’m helping build our building our network of hiring partners.

As a part of this transition, I’ve been thinking a lot about what I learned at Amazon. Here are some lessons and observations:
Context: I joined Amazon as an MBA hire in their Retail Leadership Development Program. I held two roles, Sr. Marketing Mgr and Sr. Product Manager, on two teams during my three years with the company.

The noises coming out of #Labour on racism towards Jews (let us call it that) are increasingly hollow.
Let's not even talk about the 1000s of oddballs in & around Labour, who rant on about "Zionists", etc like UKIPers talk about "immigrants", but we know where both are pointing.
