Many flights bound for the Canary Islands are diverting because of strong winds and heavy rain.

Because of limited diversion capacity in the Canary Islands, many flights are diverting to Faro in Portugal or Marrakesh in Morocco.
Tenerife South Airport (TFS) is open again and flights that were holding near Portugal, can now continue their journey.
Ryanair flight #FR4755 from Bristol to Lanzarote diverted to Fuerteventura about 4h ago. After refueling the aircraft made a new attempt to reach Lanzarote without success and diverted to Fuerteventura once again.

2/ There are thousands of refugees here on Lesbos. Mostly from Afghanistan.

Camp I visited, near village of Moria, is one mess. Small tents, garbage, dirt, hardly any organization.

Inhabitants call it "The Jungle".

Reminds me of camps I saw in Syria. However, Lesbos is in EU.
3/ Moria camp on Lesbos is an official camp.

It has a fence for security. Few thousand refugees live inside. Some stay in containers; others in tents.

Good thing about this camp is that the floor of the tents is concrete, which protects in case of rain.

President Coolidge, sick of a leaky White House roof, moved out while a third floor was added to the mansion (shown here during construction in 1927). But this new floor was built with a steel frame that was too heavy for the mansion's old wooden frame

The weight from the new third floor (it's hard to see from street level as it is recessed) nearly caused the White House to collapse in 1948; one leg of a piano that Harry and Bess Truman gave to daughter Margaret actually crashed through the ceiling below
