Preparations are underway for the March for Our Lives event on this chilly Chicago morning. A rally will start in about two hours, followed by a march through the city’s Near West Side.

The leading edge of the Chicago march, which stretches for blocks, is arriving back at Union Park. It was an upbeat but passionate event. Big police presence, but no issues that I saw.
People are heading home as things wind down in Chicago. Two hours ago, thousands of people filled this park.
