[Namjin AU]
Kim Namjoon is a (disaster bi) rapper on Soundcloud with a certain affinity for cooking YouTuber Kim Seokjin. When the puns extraordinaire himself notices a tweet Namjoon made about him, they start talking to each other and growing close. Quite close.

From DMs to texting (now I can stop using the Twitter DM layout yay)

Aw Please don't die

It was 9:39 in the morning, and Namjoon was still sitting half asleep in bed. He was now conscience and aware that he'd have to wake up soon, but he didn't want to open his eyes yet. Suddenly, his phone rang.
"So much for staying asleep," he groans to himself.

Hardly anyone ever calls him. Naturally, he thought it was some scammer trying to sell him insurance or the likes. When he glanced at his phone and saw the caller ID "Jin:Unattainable", he was jolted awake.

Namjoon accidentally hit his head against the wall in the midst of what was a mix of surprise, excitement, and panic. He didn't let the new bruise on his head phase him for long, however, as he quickly grabbed his phone and answered it.

"Hello?" Namjoon answered, failing to mask the sheer glee in his voice.
"Good morning! Ooo your speaking voice sounds a little different from your songs. I'm kinda loving it." Seokjin said in a tone somehow even more giddy than one used in any of his videos.

Namjoon began to blush. Not terribly so, but it was noticeable, "Thanks. No one's really said that before."
"No one?!" Seokjin dramatically shouted, "Well then I'm gonna have to say it to you every chance I get to make up for lost time."

Namjoon couldn't help but chuckle at how over the top the older man was being. There was something so endearing about it.
"If that gets you laughing, wait til you hear this!" Joon could practically see the huge ass grin Seokjin most likely had. He knew where this was going.

"So I remember one day that I was running track, and the kid next to me kept trying to have a conversation with me. He wouldn't stop yapping," Seokjin paused. Namjoon was terrified. He prepared for the punchline. "He was such a WALKIE-TALKIE!"

There it was. A lame joke everyone expected out of the pungeon master. Even though he was partially cringing, Namjoon actually started to laugh. It's wasn't the actually joke that caused it, but it was the dorky laughter from Seokjin due to his own joke.

It almost sounded like someone was cleaning a window, and Joon just wanted to put all of his laughter in a bottle and keep it for himself. He was so glad Seokjin couldn't see the blushing and smiling mess he was at the moment.

"Oh my God. You DO laugh at my jokes!"
Namjoon sighed knowing that Seokjin was never gonna let him forget about this and would spam him even more with dad jokes. He supposed it wasn't the worst thing in the world. After all, that meant hearing more of Jin's laughter.

"So Namnam, what's been going on with you recently?"
Namjoon thought for a bit, "I've written some new songs recently. They all kinda have a similar theme."
"Those are gonna be so good! What are they about?" Seokjin asked.

"Well, love," Joon chuckled, "I know that sounds vague, but I've just been thinking lately about the feeling of love and what it is."
"That sounds really nice. So tell me. What is love?"
It was quite difficult to not make a What Is Love by Haddaway reference.

However, Joon managed to contain himself and actually answer the question seriously. He's not sure if that's Jin was expecting, but that's what he was doing. This started a little rant about love from Namjoon that lasted about 10 minutes while Seokjin attentively listened.

After that small tangent on young love, the conversation somehow got onto stranger topics. Taehyung's large hands, Yoongi being a tsundere twink, and the amount of strange dildos there are in the world were some of the topics discussed in that time frame.

Despite not having a consistent (or normal) focus, Namjoon had a blast just laughing and being so open with Seokjin. This continued for about an hour before Seokjin finally said, "Damn, we've been talking for a while now. I need to charge my phone. Maybe we'll talk later?"

"Yeah! Definitely!"
"Bye, Namnam." Namjoon could listen to his nickname said in Jin's voice on repeat for a month.
And with that, Seokjin hung up the phone.

Namjoon just stared at his beige ceiling. He laid in his bed with a death grip on his pillow and grinning, his dimples on full display. Many questions ran through his mind. How did Seokjin not get bored of his long rant? What kind of terrible puns did he have in store next?

There was one especially persistent question that concerned him the most.
Was there any way to get rid of these feelings for his friend?
