In 2015, a court case US vs Prevezon Holdings, the bogus money laundering case that Browder took to the New York US Attorney, against Denis Katsyv, the son of Pyotr Katsyv. Their lawyer Natalya Veselnitskaya, hired US firm BakerHostetler which hired FusionGPS's Glenn Simpson.
Simpson used the resources of FusionGPS to investigate Browder, his time in Russia, and his claim that Russian officials stole $230 million from his companies, and lead to the jailing and death of Sergei Magnitsky. Browder alleged Prevezon has laundered some of the money.
Little did Browder know, but had made a very big mistake. What followed, after three attempts at being served a subpoena, was finally served, kind of successfully, in a New York alley
Browder was deposed under oath, and was forced to either backtrack, claim amnesia, and make some devastating admissions, most importantly that he had no evidence $230 million was ever stolen, one of the major planks in his Magnitsky Story swallowed by both sides of Congress.

In particular, Part 2 questions many of Browder's claims that were part of his well told "story" to Congress, the UK and Canadian Parliaments to convince them to enact human rights violating Magnistky Acts against Russia.
The case dragged on due to Browder's legal maneuvers, attempting to keep everything under wraps, with some heavy legal help from the US government
The case was settled in May 12, 2017 when the DOJ moved to settle for a payment by Prevezon of a mere $6 million. Browder's name was omitted from the reports which naturally accused Trump of colluding to have the case closed. businessinsider.com.au/why-was-russia…
Then came the damage control, Browder's bi-partisan protection, began to dissolve, and Republicans wishing to discredit FusionGPS and Glenn Simpson, as a "Russian" agent, Browder was wheeled out by Fox News - and the bullshit flowed
The Washington Post did the opposite, arguing that Simpson's involvement was entirely separate the work for Clinton, despite Browder calling him a Russian stooge. The reason for the Prevezon settlement remained a mystery. washingtonpost.com/news/josh-rogi…
Then there was Glenn Simpson's interview to both the House and Senate, in which was reported without any mention whatsoever about the parts regarding Browder

Both sides appear to accept the Prevezon settlement, the accusations against Trump have vanished, and the media has moved on. What both sides are covering up, is that Browder was exposed as a con-artist, and the Magnistky story is a fabrication. @stranahan
