I don't use containers during the development phase. I develop locally on my machine and integrate with remote APIs, databases, and services through configuration.
I maintain a Dockerfile which is used to build container images as part of my CI/CD flow and make it easy for others to build and deploy.
I'm a firm believer that applications should not rely on containers in order to work correctly. Containers are just a packaging and deployment mechanism.
