Lakers are crazy hot to start hitting their first 8 shots and not missing until the 6:29 mark of the 1st quarter. Jazz trailed 9-0 but have fought their way back to a 20-18 Lakers lead. Rubio still hot 10 points in the 1st quarter
Jazz were playing great. Had tightened the defense and felt as though they were about to take control but a bunch of funky bounces and long ball shots by the Lakers and they went on a 9-0 run to take a 12 point lead

Here's Bitcoin Network Value all the way back to when it was sub $1000. All the coins in existence combined with a total market cap of $930 on 6 Oct 2009! This was the first data point on the price curve.
Also good to see on-chain volume still reliably tracking network value for that early phase.

I made hajj in 2013. I was 8 months pregnant w/ my 3rd child. My husband and I had gotten a hajj permit from the Ghanaian consulate but we hadn't yet worked out proper accommodations. Still, I was determined to go.
I was living and working in Jeddah, KSA. None of my co-workers believed me when I said I was going on hajj. Those who thought I was crazy enough to try warned me that it was extremely difficult for women and pregnancy would only make it worse.
I didn't care. I felt that this was my chance to make hajj, that Allah had invited me to his house. We made umrah a week before. I prayed during tawwaf and asked Allah that if it was a good thing, make it so. That same week, we got news.

drake's introduction is. it's alot. but it's also indicative of his status as a foil to tendou from minute ONE as vs yaguruma who took a minute to really show his true colors

drake's thing seems to be detachment but of a more full degree. it isn't like performative like tendou's
it's a more full detachment. he wants to pretty things up but then leave them to die, as opposed to tendou, who always acts detached from other people but is always inevitably planning on saving them to the fullest extent of what he can do

I think, it's possible that I have a penchant for punishing myself for things that are oft beyond my control.
Infact, it's almost safe to say that I have a craving for beating myself up for not living up to my own expectations.
And that's a dangerous thing because it could mean that I deliberately sabotage myself just so i can beat myself up. It's wild thinking but it's quite possible.

Over the past 4-5 years, I've seen a lot of experienced game devs--both men and women--dismiss the idea that we need to take an objective look at our work culture, and the way it welcomes (or discourages) diverse candidates.
A lot of the resistance comes from devs who've been in the industry for 10+ years. It's easy to label that "defense of the status quo" but I think there's a bit more going on.
Folks who have been pro game devs for at least ten years know how different the business was back then. Think it's hard to get a job in game dev now? Try 10, 12, 15 or 20 years ago!
