On the plague of weak-minded billionaires and the state of US politics.

What happened to make the Kochs and Mercers so merciless? Science tells us that some of the rich *are* jerks, primarily because they no longer need society to survive.
Resilient rich, with high emotional IQ, enjoy life by giving back to their communities and helping them thrive. They continue to recognize the importance of connecting with others and strive to strengthen their relationships.
The weak-minded rich are disconnected from society, only able to find joy in numbers and self-indulgent pursuits of ‘power.’

Accumulation of power is a desperate attempt to fill the cavernous emptiness inside. A desperate attempt to self-validate.
They are unable to look into the eyes of their employee, their maid, their gardener and connect to them.

They fear being engulfed by another’s need (I blame Ayn Rand for this) and are not capable of seeing the richness and beauty in the struggles of others.
They are unable to see the nobility of surviving poverty, the kindness that is the *hallmark* of many impoverished. The willingness of poor communities to network and help each other.

They are unable to see that true joy comes from our enjoyment of others.
They are unable to see that their vast accumulation of wealth, is enabled by their community.

The Mercers and Kochs are reconstructing America into a model of unbridled corporate greed with no social accountability.
They call themselves Libertarians? The only liberty they pursue is freedom from any regulation, any accountabilty. They could care less for civil liberties. They abuse and manipulate *our* civil liberties.

We need an America where corporations do not have ‘personhood.’
As citizens we can be imprisoned for crimes. Unless ‘corporations’ (not individuals) can bear the same proportional risk, they should not be allowed personhood.

That special day, when the Kochs realized they had to, at a bare minimum, look empathic.
