Another bad night at airport but I was there long enough to BREAK THROUGH THE VEIL! In desperation I Invited myself the shuttle w/the Westjet crew+ suddenly I’m at a karaoke THROWDOWN at the holiday inn where the older R+B set are KILLING IT. Der Kommissar just happened?! WTF?!
KATE BUSH WAS JUST BUSTED OUT UP IN HERE! Shit! Now here come the flight attendants! They are cuing up Spice Girls AND Backstreet. Oh. Fuck.

Now a handful of little kids came in to order fries and they are dancing and singing along with one of the Westjet crew doing “I Believe I can Fly.”

The bartender is now Roberta Flacking and the bar is going nuts.
A guy just sang “Wildflower (Let her cry)” by Skylark. Which featured the mighty Donny Gerrard on lead vocals who sings with...wait for it.... @mavisstaples

This is my sign that everything is gonna be ok. That’s the word from beyond the veil, and I’m now FULLY convinced. ♥️
And I’m going to write to @WestJet and tell them they are the greatest airline on earth.

People just let you hang out in the wind lookin all "crazy." I don't mind looking crazy, I just think about all who won't speak because.
It makes me so sad for everyone isolated by it. It's never "a good time" to talk about rape. I'm so sorry to all of you feeling alone.

1. i am not going to pretend that tumblr was perfect. *l-rd* no, that site had its problems, ranging from the tedious "we can't get rid of Nazis" moderation to the porn bots to the vicious callout culture with zero room for error and zero chance to apologize and grow
2. but it wasn't exclusively a shitshow, and i do feel a deep sense of grief for its impending destruction. for all its faults, tumblr was a hugely important social space for me, in no small part because of the adult content that they're now trying to wipe from the site
