/ Welcome to Thursday in the independent republic of Brexitlandia
/ On Tuesday the House of Lords voted in favour of the UK staying in the single market because it works in the UK’s favour 👊👊👊
/ Naturally the ever useful Budgie toilet paper @MailOnline promptly added the Lords to its list of enemies
/ It is funny how those who screeched about giving back Parliament control absolutely detest Parliament having control. Imagine being cross at winning what you voted for and blaming others for the consequences of your winning. 🤪
/ Naturally @jeremycorbyn declines to support staying in the single market because he gives zero fucks about jobs being lost to Brexit
/ @jeremycorbyn hates EU state aid rules even though they do not stop him being able to implement his manifesto. One could conclude he is publicly lying or simply goading the Government into trashing the country so he sweeps into power which is not really for the many is it 🤮
/ But some Labour MPs are to be applauded for not going along with @jeremycorbyn ‘s duplicitous bollocks and calling for a vote on the final deal
/ After all if the Opposition are not going to do any opposing the public should take on the job of deciding if the deal the government agrees is good enough or whether the old deal was better
/ The old deal helped our economy, the NHS, the GFA, gave us geopolitical security and standing, created jobs, protected consumers and also let us have whatever fucking passport colour we wanted
/ And when the wheels come off at a global level who does the UK stand with? Ah yes in Union with Europe
/ So based on a narrow majority in an election tarnished by Russian interference and abuse of electoral laws and increased global uncertainty, how is the Government proposing to deal with Brexit? Tweet 12 provides the detailed plan...
/
/ Imagine still arguing about what customs agreement you want nearly 2 years on and with less than 1 year to go? If the Cabinet cannot decide how can they say they speak for the 17million leavers or the country?
/ On the one hand you have the MPs who know Brexit will be shit but are not really doing anything sensible
/ On the other you have elected representatives not giving a shit if they cause the people they represent to lose their jobs
/ And then you have serial bullshit merchant @borisjohnson who attacks things he signed up to and does not really care about anyone except himself. Because he is a 🤡with the conscience of a 🐀
/ hey @BorisJohnson do you care about the impact of food rises caused by your lies?
/ @BorisJohnson do you care about job losses? Do you @theresa_may @DavidDavisMP @jeremycorbyn or do we all need to grin and bear it while you show who is more incompetent?
/ You know Brexit is shit when perennial charlatan @DanielJHannan starts to admit Brexit is a bit shit and the real Brexit is not the Brexit he advocated for oh no 👻👻👻
/ Meanwhile the Government are doing their best to stop any more democracy but not having any more debate in case they lose a vote
/ Does @theresa_may or @andrealeadsom know they triggered a 2 year clock with no plan and that pretending to be an ostrich is not “taking back control”?
/ It explains why the Government now want to extend the transition period
/ I mean I though the vote was “decisive” and “everyone knew what they were voting for”. It seems the main goal of leaving is to stay in as long as possible. The only beneficiary of this is the firm that @theresa_may ‘s husband works for 🤐
/ Global Britain is looking like a place the “brightest and best” don’t want to go and even if they did the Government would only destroy their residence paperwork, change the law and deport them telling them “be more foreign when you get “home””
/ Meanwhile Brexit is doing the opposite of what man of the people @Nigel_Farage wants which is ALWAYS GOOD
/ Meanwhile @DavidDavisMP continues to take his job seriously by applying his mantra he does not need to know or do much. He has declined to go to Ireland to give evidence
/ I can see @DavidDavisMP logic. Leave means he does not answer to foreign representatives forgetting again para 49 of the December report or that all EU27 member states will vote on the final deal
/ Far better for @DavidDavisMP to bang on about the risk of lives if the Uk is cut out of Galileo. But when it comes to the safety and well-being of Irish citizens not a FUCKING WORD
/ But then Brexit is not about solidarity, mutual goodwill and improving the lot of citizens. It’s about being a perennial liar
/ But I dare not question the will of the people for saying that. Showing concern for the future of my country is the act of a traitor 🤤🤤🤤
