"Forgotten Prison" will tell the story of the Alcatraz you've never heard of. McNeil Island Prison in Puget Sound only closed a few years ago. The podcast from @knkxfm explores the changing nature of crime & punishment in the US thru the stories of McNeil inmates, guards and more
"Justice functions differently in Indian Country" ... "Gone 3x" will tell stories of missing & murdered Native American women & girls in life, media and data. This project explores what it means to be indigenous & female in America. @jennimonet @nitanahkohe @ryanredcorn #MMIWG
What is it like for a refugee to be resettled in the US? @WCVE will tell that story in 3 parts: arrival, establishing yourself & citizenship. @SWINTERSMITH @angelaWCVE are working with former BBC broadcaster Zar Wahedi, who recently came to the US as a refugee from Afghanistan.
