It happened after 3 people died in front of a closed shelter in Kyiv during another shelling by #russians.

So, I’ve made #TokyoMarathon2023 today.

Launched the first train connecting 🇺🇦 Ukraine and 🇷🇴 Romania.

Danger: long 🧵 ahead! :) Just to remind. Back in August 2022, in the middle of the war, we completed 20km of new track reconstruction. That track was closed for 17 years. We done it in 2 months. And then we waited for another 4 months while Romanian railways completed its part of the job.

Another beautiful and touching story is accomplished. #IronVillage in #Irpin officially closed today.

Danger: 🧵 Hoow it started. #Irpin had 7000 people whose houses were damaged or destroyed. City mayor @markushyn asked @Ukrzaliznytsia to help his people with temporary housing. And we are always happy to support such stories, even if that's not about our core business.

So. Another long story about our yesterday trip to #Mykolaiv and #Kherson. Danger: 🧵 We arrived in Mykolaiv early morning. Such a great feeling to bring the train back to town first time since the beginning of the war.

It's been a long day. We finally reached #Kherson and start arranging our return with a regular train there. But that's a long story. Take a sit. 🧵 Once our army fought #russians out of #Kherson, I knew I have to go there and arrange our service ASAP. Boots on the ground is our way.

When #russians shell our energy infrastructure, we switch to diesel locos and #KeepRunning. We always have “plan b”. Was checking today “plan b” for diesel locos - steam locos.🧵 Steam loco sounds like a music, isn’t it?

My 2 days at #InnoTrans2022 are over. Great days, fully packed with back-to-back meetings and events. Leaving #Berlin with a heavy heart.

Warning: long🧵ahead! I came to #Berlin right after spending 3 days in #Kharkiv. Drastic difference between constantly shelled Kharkiv and flourishing Berlin. But for me personally its much more comfortable to be in eastern Ukraine, together with my people under fire, rather than in a peaceful Berlin.

1. Why we urgently restore infra during the war? Because otherwise we would simply stop at day 1 of the war. And thus, neither evacuation, nor humanitarian aid delivery, nor #IronDiplomacy program, nothing would work. Just imagine that.

Another day when we tried to restore railway connection to recently retaken Town B, but failed again. Have a sit. The morning was perfect. 3km morning run in #Kharkiv under the rain.

And more damages. And more.

Today I failed. I've done everything possible and slightly more, but failed. My plan was to get to recently retaken Town B. by train. But no success. It was a long long day. So listen to the story. I took this railcar to get there. That's a service railcar that carries our track repair crews.
