🧵 I've been lucky enough to get access to the @vela_exchange beta.
I've taken it for a test drive, and so far I really like it.
It's slick, quick and very easy to use with some nice features.
Here's a quick run through so you can get set up easily when they open access. /1
🖊️ First off I logged in with my whitelisted wallet and signed to give access. Nice and simple.
I then deposited the princely sum of $100. Make sure you have $ETH too to cover transaction costs.
Obviously these are very cheap as it's on Arbitrum. /2

🧵 Things are hotting up for @FactorDAO. The public sale on @CamelotDEX is coming up fast in 5 weeks (announcement soon!).
Here's a recap on what $FCTR is all about and some sneak peaks into what's going on behind the scenes (plus some alpha if you read to the end) 👀 1/14
❓ Let's simplify exactly what @FactorDAO is!
It's bringing the multi-trillion $ asset management sector on-chain for #DeFi.
No code vault creation utilizing any asset to create any type of strategy.
One click deposit and passive #realyield generation for investors. 2/14

🧵 Stablecoins are supposed to be stable! But we know that's not always the case.
@y2kfinance offers an innovative suite of structured products to enable users to hedge/speculate against de-peg risk.
Built on #Arbitrum. My walkthrough and bull thesis for #Y2KFinance 👇 /1
❓ What are structured products?
Financial instruments customized to meet specific investment goals by combining various assets or indexes in a specific structure.
They are often designed to address certain specific opportunities and/or risk profiles. /2

🧵 Today's thread looks at another options platform: @Buffer_Finance.
They offer a simple way for users to trade (binary) options and is based on #RealYield revenue model.
It's simplicity should onboard users and it's degeneracy should generate good platform fees. 1/14
🗣️ The pitch: non-custodial, exotic options trading platform to trade short-term price volatility and hedge risk of high-leverage positions. On #Arbitrum.
It allows traders to create, buy, and settle options against a pool that generate #RealYield fees for $BFR stakers. 2/14

🧵 You all know about futures, but what about options?
A way of betting on market direction or hedging positions.
A big #DeFi narrative for 2023. I believe @dopex_io will be at the forefront.
The pitch: hedge $BTC, $ETH and other #crypto assets directly from your wallet. 1/20
❓ What the hell are options?
Financial contracts that give the holder the right to buy or sell an asset at a pre-determined price on/before a specified date.
Two types: call options, which allow the holder to buy, and put options, which allow the holder to sell. 2/20
Delta neutral 10 to 25% APY #RealYield for stakers.
Basically an attempt at a legitimate #DeFi savings account!
Here's an overview of how it works; risks, rewards, pros and cons. 1/20
$USDH is a fully decentralized #stablecoin backed 1:1 by a basket of censorship resistant stables: $MIM $USDD $sUSD $LUSD $FEI
I wrote a detailed thread on @hoardusdh (below). This thread focuses on how the protocol generates #RealYield
In this market I'm focused on quality over quantity, diving deep before pulling the trigger.
Very impressed with the @hoardusdh team, so much so I'm supporting as an advisor.
Here's my take on the challenges #stablecoins face and why $HRD and $USDH *may* be the answer. 1/16
Top line: $USDH is the only #stablecoin with all 4 of the following traits:
- No centralized issuer
- No algorithmic or debt position backing
- No blacklist functions
- No "blacklistable" collateral
That's the hook, but how does it work and why does that matter? 2/16

🧵 What if we never needed an #ETH killer, just a faster and cheaper #Ethereum network? Enter #Layer2 solutions.
A brief thread on what they are in simple terms, why I'm bullish, and how they'll drive the next wave of #DeFi adoption. 1/12
A traditional business has sales to generate revenue (transactions) and accounting to keep the books (settlement).
Putting the accountant in charge of everything would be slow and costly and inhibit growth!
🧵 $30B in TVL wiped out by the $LUNA and $UST collapse. Total #DeFi TVL slashed in half over the last month.
What does the future hold for DeFi on the major #Layer1 chains and protocols? My thoughts in 10 tweets. 1/10
#DeFi exploded from $19B TVL at the start of 2021 to $280B by the end of 2022, holding steady until April of this year.
It now stands at $128B with the majority of that over 50% drop coming in the last month as investors rush for the exits. 2/10

🧵 Here's how I make 43% APY on $USD (and my $EUR, $ETH and $BTC) by utilising a fully regulated brokerage service called #Freeway. Perfect for bear markets and I personally believe it is safer and with a better R:R than e.g. $UST on #AnchorProtocol or $USDD on #TRON. 1/20
❗ This is my own research presented in an objective manner. I include a few of my own opinions. Not financial advice, do your own research, be aware of the risks. Learn about #Freeway here (referral link, but using it boosts your rewards by 2%):
🧵 The market is tough right now so it's time to get behind projects with strong teams, use case and potential. I'm still bullish on #FaaS and here's a thread on @TheCryptoTrian1 $MUDA a #DeFi3 project that differentiates itself from competitors in some interesting ways! 1/12
The business strategy is composed of 3 pillars. The 3 sides of the triangle aim to make $MUDA an easily accessible form of passive income across multiple chains with direct retail onboarding via fiat onramp. The objective is to offer well rounded, safe and profitable #FaaS 2/12

🧵 Was cooking dinner and mulling over tokens, why there are so many, do we ever need them, maybe ERC-20 tokens are not what we thought they were, and why I'm slowly catching on to the potential of #NFTs. Random thoughts, some of it obvious, felt like typing it up. 1/16
Currently I only really see two "use-cases" for the majority of ERC-20 tokens in most cases not providing much real utility. Projects create them as it is an easy way to bootstrap a fundraise and a way to provide future incentives to use their protocol. 2/16

🧵 An attempt at an objective review of #YieldNodes. A #masternode service that has generated an average of 10% a month on #stablecoins for 3 years to date. Like everything in #crypto it is high risk. I present the pros, cons, benefits and risks, as objectively as possible. 1/12
What is it? #YieldNodes offer managed masternoding, pooling investor funds, and managing the infrastructure and profit distribution. Here's a link for you to #DYOR. It is a ref link which means I receive a small commission on any deposits you make.
🧵 On the theme on legit projects with strong teams, real utility and a long-term game plan and upside, here's a thread on @ADRTtoken $ADRT. A really unique project that I would categorize as a #DeFi#IaaS protocol. Here's what I like about it. 1/9
🚀 So, what is it? There is a 12% buy and sell tax. 4% goes back to holders as #ETH reflections, 4% to an investment treasury to generate returns for holders, 2% to liquidity, and 2% to marketing. So, there are taxes, but they are sensibly distributed and deployed. 2/9

🧵 A dose of reality on shitcoin triablism: Had a tough couple of weeks in the market, as have many. Today I had a good day and I'm happy with that. I also saw a lot of things that made me sad and and wanted to share a few thoughts. 1/12
I got into crypto in 2017 primarily because I thought #smartcontracts on #Ethereum sounded interesting. I'd heard of $BTC but wasn't honestly never thought the use case would catch on - yeah I legit thought about use cases back in the day 😆 2/12
