I know I’m still kinda new to #Defi #crypto #finance (under 1yr) BUT I got some other expertise

I’ve:
Sold almost $1mil in product on Amazon
Sold 10’s of thousands in info products
Sold hundreds of thousands in consulting

So here’s a thread on making $$ in a bear market

🧵/1 Here I will lay out all the ways I’ve made money (all of them) as well as a couple ways people I personally know have.

I’m not sharing theory here. These things have put money in my or people I know’s pockets.

Let’s get it…

Sustainability was the buzzword of the day when #node protocols were the hot topic. Obviously it was just a buzzword, as no #NaaS protocol has proved to be that.

But what IS sustainability and how do we evaluate it? A thread 👇

🧵/1 Image First, the definition of sustainable - able to be maintained at a certain rate or level.

So, sustainability is the ability to uphold that level of maintenance.

What does that mean in the context of #DeFi?

🤖DEGEN AF STRATEGIES VOL 2🤖

👉 Lending Loops

Let's talk about lending loops. These are far and away one of the most #degen strategies you can employ.

Why?

👇

🧵/1 Because, in a normal lend/borrow situation, you risk your collateral, but you still have the asset you borrowed.

In a lend loop, you risk EVERYTHING;
Your collateral AND your borrowed asset.

If you get liquidated, you have NOTHING.

TRYING TO EXPLAIN #DEFI TO MY MOTHER

I'm on a mission to help onboard as many "normies" possible into the world of DeFi

It requires choosing the right words & analogies to help explain technical concepts

So heres a 🧵 I hope you find helpful you can send to your own normies 👇 First, let's start with concepts we understand.

INCENTIVES. The world revolves around them. Everything anyone tries to get someone else to do involves incentives.

I mean, what is dessert for a child if not a bribe to finish dinner?

Today I want to write about risk management.

I wrote awhile back about finding your trading edge & #candlestick basics:
()

My friend @Zetoveraleenzet pointed out that knowing this stuff doesn't help much without risk management.

So here's a thread

🧵/1 @Zetoveraleenzet First, what is risk management?

Technically it's the identification of risks and the procedures necessary to minimize them.

However, for trading I think the more accurate terminology would be risk mitigation.

🚨WARNING: DO NOT TRADE BSC TOKENS LESS THAN 24HRS OLD🚨

I'm seeing influencers teaching this "degen trading strategy" but it's really just a way to lose your money. 98%+ of these tokens are scam tokens!!

Here's a quick thread.

🧵/1 First, the reason I'm posting this is because I've seen multiple "influencers" push this as a strategy, claiming they 2x, 3x, 10x their money in "less than X minutes"

And I know that's total bullsh!t

In a continued effort to help my buddy @0xLosingMoney whittle down his overflowing inbox, today I am going to do a quick layman's "security audit" for @SphereDeFi .

Okay...so here's some crazy analysis shit.

🕵️‍♂️/1 @0xLosingMoney @SphereDeFi As usual I add the disclaimer I am NOT a Solidity developer so I am only looking for glaringly obvious issues. Also, this is NOT a deep dive into the project, only a look into whether any security issues exist that investors should be aware of.

OK, let's get into $SPHERE

Did you know that the wealthiest 10% of Americans own 89% of stocks held?
(Read about it here: fool.com/research/how-m…)

This is why I’m so passionate about #DeFi.

🧵/1 DeFi is essentially financial institutions, assets, and services that are not controlled by a centralized entity.

Why is this good? Because it means it’s not gate-kept by the elite.

On-chain "Audit" of PLAYA3ULL GAMES @PLAYA3ULL

My partner in on-chain P.I. work @0xLosingMoney has been getting a lot of requests for an on-chain look into projects...and he can't really handle ALL of them. So I'm giving him a hand.

Let's dive into $3ULL

🕵️‍♂️/1 Image @PLAYA3ULL @0xLosingMoney First and foremost I need to state the following:

I am NOT a Solidity developer, so my knowledge on what to look for in a #smartcontract is limited.

Also, this is not a deep dive into the project, but only a look at potential security issues.

Today we're going to talk about Bridging

This was inspired by my homie @DeFi_naly who put together an excellent newb-friendly thread on LPs.

And also by @0xLosingMoney who tweeted yesterday about how hard it was to explain bridging to a friend.

🧵/1 @DeFi_naly @0xLosingMoney OK, let's get into it.
This thread is for you to send to your grandma or other normie fam who just don't understand DeFi concepts.

Bridging...WTH is THAT?

DeFi natives know this is when you take an asset from one chain to another.

But let's simplify that a bit...

☠️Rainship NFT Post Mortem☠️

I was never a holder of an Anchor Pass NFT, but last night Rainship was requesting assistance in how to handle a contract exploit.

The damage is, unfortunately, done. But here is what I found...

🧵/1 So, I don't know all the details of the relationship between the person/people that now own the contract and their developer(s).

But, apparently the main dev ghosted the team and started draining holder's wallets of their $DAI.

but HOW?

Ok, so we've already gone over how to find micro-cap's ripe for scalping...

(here it is again in case you missed it: )

Now let's talk about a couple of actual strategies. Here's a thread (31 tweets) on using charting indicators for scalping.

🧵/1 First, I want to discuss a couple of my ground rules.
1. I don't do leverage (right now).
2. I don't short (right now).

This means I'm only looking for upward momentum so I can buy.

So I preface this by saying that in bear markets this can be more challenging.

Remember my on-chain analysis thread, where I talk about looking for suspicious functions?

(Here it is in case you missed it: )

Well, with the Simian Nodes rug, I have a couple of thoughts...

🧵/1 First, we saw our favorite Rug Police Agent @0xLosingMoney do a post-mortem on what happened (here: )

In it he discovered the function in question: boostRewards.

Before this, it was likely that most non-devs wouldn't have known this was suspicious

Not long ago I was asked by a friend how I find all these micro-cap alts that still manage to send (at least enough intraday for scalps).

So here's a THREAD on how to find micro-cap gems for quick day/swing trades.

🧵/1 First, I use my favorite tool: @dexscreener

If you scroll to the bottom of the homescreen, you'll see this purple filter box. This is where all the magic happens.

Hey newbs.
Quick question.
You've heard the phrase "not your keys, not your crypto" right?

But do you know what that really means?

Let's talk about it.

🧵/1 Obvi the phrase refers to your private keys to your crypto. And if you don't have them, or own them, then you don't own the crypto. Right?

Kinda like how when you buy #crypto on Robinhood or PayPal, you can't transfer it out. You can only buy and sell.

My attempt at humor in the dark times.
What kind of #cryptotrader are you?

Everybody invests differently, but there are some common themes among trader personalities. Do you fit in any of these?

Let's look at some basic #TA for $LUNA shall we?
The purpose is to see if there were any signs before the bottom fell out on $UST on May 9th 2022 (UTC).

Before we do so, let me first state that I completely recognize that hindsight is 20/20....

🧵/1 Also, our brains are really good at recognizing patterns even when there aren't any.

I want to reiterate too, that I do not believe #TA can be effectively used to predict the future...especially black swan events.

HOWEVER...

"TA doesn't work on memecoins" or "TA doesn't work on alts" or "TA doesn't work on $BTC" etc.

I see so many people talking about how #TA doesn't work.
All that does is tells me they don't really know what TA (technical analysis) is.
So here's a 🧵 on it.

🧵/1 Image What is TA (technical analysis)?

Before we get into what it IS, let's talk about what it's NOT.

It's not magic tea leaves that predict the future. A lot of people have this misconception that the purpose of TA is to predict the future, but this isn't quite true.
