Het is buitengewoon tragisch dat overlevenden van de genocide nu geconfronteerd worden met deportaties en moeilijke omstandigheden, terwijl sommige daders van deze gruwelijke misdaden, met name ISIS-vrouwen, gerepatrieerd worden.

A civilization that housed diverse range of beliefs for thousands of years, will soon be over. Image For centuries, Iraq has been home to multiple religious groups with ancient roots in the region.

But decades of turmoil has driven many religious minorities out, with the most recent example being the onslaught of Al-Qaida, ISIS and now by Iran backed militias.

Iraqi government resettled some of the internally displaced Sunni Muslim families to Sinjar, where #YazidiGenocide was committed by ISIS in 2014.
