Things are hotting up in #Russia - and not only with the end of winter.

There's been a definite uptick in #RussiaOnFire stories in the last two weeks and some interesting places are becoming victims of 'careless smokers'.

The #RussiaOnFire building is the research and production complex. This plant actively works for #Russia's Defence sector.

#Russia did attack #Ukraine overnight with some success, although the worst damage may have been avoided when, as I reported last night, two Kh-59 missiles aimed at #Odesa were shot down.

However #Sumy region and #KrivyiRih (RU: #KrivoyRog) were hit early today

Missiles were also fired from aircraft in #Sumy region, with up to 10 thought to have hit. Officials say "losses are being specified."

In #KrivyiRih multiple attack drones crashed in to targets. Here's the moment one hit the city in #Dnipropetrovsk region.

At least 3 civilians are feared dead in #Kostyantynivka (RU: #Konstaninovka) in free #Donetsk, after #Russia hit a "point of invincibility"

Such places across #Ukraine are supposed to be points of refuge during times of power cuts.

Many places and street names continue to be renamed in #Ukraine.

#Kyiv has agreed a whole host of changes including the famous, central Lva Toltoho Square and street.

UPDATE from in #Kostyantynivka (RU: #Konstaninovka)

The death toll is now five. They were murdered by #Russia when it targeted the civilian safe-spot of the "Invincibility Point" in the town in #Donetsk this morning.

The bodies of 3 women and 2 men were removed from the rubble.

#Ukraine has handed back to #Russia all seriously wounded prisoners of war.

This is NOT a prisoner exchange.
Kyiv has unilaterally repatriated the seriously ill as per the Geneva Convention.

Indeed, I understand #Ukraine has completely unblocked the minor road O-0506 to the west of #Bakhmut. That's the route to #ChasivYar and crucial for keeping supply lines open.

One man's died, another is badly wounded by enemy shelling in #Kherson.

They were hit while on the river as #Russia shelled the embankment area. A 55 year old died with shrapnel wounds to his chest. A 77 year old has injuries to his chest + limbs.

A policeman is among those killed in #Russia's overnight attack on #Sumy region.

The town of Bilopil' was bombarded with 80 grad rocket attacks and 20 by barrel artillery

37-year-old Lieutenant Vadym Listopad and a civilian died. 9 others were injured.

Oleksandr Matsievskyi may have gone, but will never be forgotten. A hero of #Ukraine, he was gunned down by Russian soldiers for saying "#SlavaUkraini"

Now some talented guys have painted a mural of Oleksandr in #Rivne.

Bloomberg says #SouthAfrica is "unlikely" to arrest #Putin if he arrives for the BRICS conference.

That means the government breaking its pledge to fulfill the Rome charter it signed up to and defying the International Criminal Court order to detain the suspected war criminal.

#Ukraine has reacted angrily this evening to reports by the @UN earlier today which alleged executions of Prisoners of War, beatings and arbitary detention and mistreatment of civilians on BOTH sides in the war.

#Ukraine's ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets points out that the UN has had 100% access to Prisoners of War while #Russia has not anyone visit a single war detainee.

Furthermore Mr Lubinets points out there is no proof in the reports, which are based solely on word of mouth.
