I hardly took any photos, but here's a summary of my highlights from #VidCon2018:
1) #Educon: A firehose of collected wisdom on educational content creation that I scrambled to take down while wishing to be five people and/or have a time turner.

2) Being recognized and approached by @TheTierZoo and Alex from Technicality (who is apparently too young to be on this fogey platform?), followed by the delight of discovering their hilarious and thoughtful content.
3) A particularly animated music theory conversation with @12tonevideos, whose knowledge is an ocean I now wish to drink.
4) Rooming with and having wide-ranging conversations with @MostlyEnginerd and @fyfluiddynamics that covered everything from hypersonic fluid instability to the depths of life direction and emotional survival.
5) Meeting and learning from a whole host of thoughtful and passionate #WeCreateEDU creators like @RvingNaturalist, @upndatom and @neuroyoutube, and discovering that I share a country with @AvenMcMaster and @Alliterative and a city with @TheLingSpace!
6) Meeting so many folks whose work I admire, including @Ehmee who I was delighted to be recognized by, @chubbyemu who is just as intense in person, @missmalindakat who is way MORE intense in person, a very approachable @tomscott and the wise duo of @DestinsBride/@smartereveryday
7) Meeting @veritasium's beautiful family (and packing their car) while we talked about the practical challenges of living as a YouTube creator and how I can start making my process functional.
8) So many amazing conversations with @ScienceWithTom--a man of great wisdom and unparalleled charisma--brainstorming rap battles, examining effective modes of education, sharing life history and musical tastes.
9) Real Life Conversations with @thephysicsgirl, who cares so much about everything you say that it's impossible to get through half of what you wanted to talk about. Luckily I think we'll get to talk again 🙂 
10) Vibing on a weirdly intense brain-sync level with @3blue1brown, who already feels like a friend. Also finding out that he discovered me through Fields medalist Terry Tao!
11) Connecting with @johngreen over our joint love of a certain web-based Paperclip AI game.
12) A conversation with @realCarykh that I started out thinking was a fan interaction and then suddenly realized that I know and love his content.
13) Recreating William Rowan Hamilton with @ScienceWithTom and @comaniddy, which turned into an impromptu science rap concert on the @VidCon creator floor.
14) Finally meeting @tofulunalua after so many interactions on Twitter, and having a really heartfelt conversation about life history, religion and family.
15) Sharing my ukulele with @wisecrack's @jacobsalamon to comfort him in times of stress.
Also drinking up his talk with @wisecrackalec about how to make smart stuff entertaining, which was probably the best creator presentation I went to.

16) Sharing a dance floor with @hankgreen and tearing it up in awkward nerd fashion as the last night of vidcon wound down
17) And finally hanging around with @InesLauraDawson, who I've followed since 60 subs, whose work and intellect I have immense respect for, and who in person is genuine, insightful and an intimidatingly good hip hop dancer.
So yeah, @VidCon ya done good. I give you a pass. Til next year!
