Thread: 1. Harrow East CLP. The place I attended my first CLP meeting, with a Jewish population of 7.3% tonight voted to affiliate to the radical fringe group Jewish Voice for Labour.
2. JvL have hosted Holocaust revisionists, deny antisemitism in the Labour Party and represent no more than a few hundred out of 280k British Jews.
3. Harrow East is home to a number of synagogues and whilst politics vary many would be happy to host organisations critical of Israeli policies or in support of the Palestinians. None would ever host JvL for the above reasons.
4. Members in Harrow East who voted for it tonight decided that a narrow radical obsessive fringe sect who are playing out a war against the Jewish community from the inside of Labour are more important than the thousands of Jewish constituents in Harrow East. Labour in 2018.
