Nothing surprises me anymore... But this Thursday @johnmcdonnellMP is coming to Barnet, as he promised me when we met after the election...

But clearly @johnmcdonnellMP was not listening to me and Phil. There are few ways that he could damage the situation with our Jewish community further, but somehow he is managing it. /2

@johnmcdonnellMP holding a public meeting with JVL's Jenny Manson is inflammatory and is baiting most British Jews. Jenny Manson, delightful as she may be personally has politics that disgust the vast majority of British Jews. /3

It isn't necessarily her views on Israel. It is her self proclaimed weaponisation of her Jewish identity in order to do so. She admits to only identifying as a Jew because of her hatred of Israel. Not because she is just proud to be a Jew. /4

She represents an organisation called Jewish Voice for Labour. The purpose of such liberation groups like @JewishLabour are normally twofold.
1. To provide a bridge of understanding between a minority community and a party.
2. Advocate within community and party for change. /7

JVL are not part of the Jewish community. They actively reject it. They reject the Kehilla. They stand outside of all previous Jewish Socialist tradition. The Bund accepted the Kehilla and sought to win its arguments inside of it. JVL reject the Kehilla. /8

Nothing exemplified this more as during the local elections they decided to hold an event in Golders Green on Jewish Socialism... In the centre of Jewish life in Britain they decided to hold their meeting in a Church. /9

This meeting on Thursday is basically a big F*** You to the vast majority of the Jewish community. Just when I thought that @johnmcdonnellMP understood the issue more than many he does this. JVL is a vehicle that enduldges antisemites and Holocaust deniers. They are not the Bund.
