If you believe Christopher Steele, the normal processes of the government should be ground to a halt.
Let’s take a step back. A 22 year veteran of British intelligence wrote a report that detailed how a candidate for POTUS worked in conjunction with Russia to rig an election, including payments to hackers, quid pro quos, and secret meetings.
17 months after the report’s public release, much of the document has been corroborated and nothing has been proven inaccurate.
Multiple campaign officials then lied about their interactions with Russians, publicly and privately to investigators. The president has fired or attempted to fire everyone investigating the report.
Anyone who claims they know how this story ends is lying. We have no idea what Mueller knows. But if you believe Christopher Steele, the lack of pushback to an alleged illegitimate leader is astounding.
Mueller may find that Steele was way off and was fed completely innaccurate info. We may have seen the last of the criminal charges in the investigation.
Mueller may also find that Steele’s report was 100% accurate and that the president coordinated with a hostile foreign power to rig our election.
Let the investigation play out. Let Mueller do his job without any artificial deadlines. Understand that this investigation is too important to be rushed or completed prematurely.
