walked to dekalb market with izzy, went to target where she managed to get completely covered in grapefruit face wash. got her cleaned off in the family bathroom and into the pinkest clothes she owns (the spare set in her diaper bag), did an Art Activity in the food court
went to trader joes, shared a cheese plate, walked back just as it started to get really hot. Izzy fell asleep in her stroller two blocks from home and I don’t want to wake her by getting her out, and all of the bars that are open are really loud because they’re showing soccer
so I’m sitting next to her stroller in the vestibule of our apartment building while she naps
okay so Iz woke up and we went upstairs, i got her in a lukewarm bath to cool down, then we watched sesame street, read books, facetimed my parents. Kristin got home from work around 3 and i IMMEDIATELY laid down and slept for 20 minutes
i woke up with a great idea and hustled everyone into the car and we drove into Manhattan to go to Purl Soho so Kristin could get fabric to sew Izzy some bloomers and I could use a gift certificate that was burning a hole in my pocket
i am now an INCREDIBLY serious knitter. also I think we impressed the staff by being a crafty family 
we actually got in and out of manhattan really fast so we decided to go to industry city to go to the world market and face values over there, and Izzy ended up walking around the aisles of the face values dragging a basket and talking to herself
she walked by the whole row of hair dye poking each package directly on the face of the model and saying “Mama. Mama. Mama. Mama.” each time
oh here we go
