Nerds: I’ve long been deeply curious about the implications of the doctrine of incarnation when it comes to Jesus’ childhood. Aside from fanciful conjecture (Gospel of Thomas, Anne Rice etc), what should I read on this?
...Has the nature of Christ’s humanity, at the developmental level, been discussed and debated? Where? Thanks!
(Note: I remember Mark Driscoll got into a bunch of trouble for saying that Jesus made mistakes as part of normal human development. I thought it was the most uncontroversial thing the guy had ever said!)
