Home Office refused to accept my client's children were his, *even with* DNA test!
HO said client had conducted DNA test without asking Home Office, before they had asked for it, so they couldn't accept it. He should do test again, from tester they suggest when they ask for it!

Or, see this 2015 judgment. High Ct ruled Home Office acted "grotesquely" by refusing to believe woman's father was actually her father, as she couldn't provide a DNA test. Because her father was dead! Woman was British but Home Office was denying that.

So yes, unfortunately & shamefully, and transpires unlawfully, Home Office has been routinely requiring DNA tests for many years. @carolinenokes's ignorance about this is shocking & embarrassing. I'm sure @theresa_may actually thinks it's all acceptable and justified though.
