At last week's Trump hatefest in Montana two white children were asked by what they like the most about Donald Trump. Their answers were more "polite" versions of white supremacist talking points about "white genocide" and white people being "outbred" by nonwhites.
I often wonder what seeds has Donald Trump and his Republican Party and their voters planted. The damage he is doing will last decades. A whole generation of young white people have been inducted into white supremacy and white identity politics under "Make American Great Again".
The Trumpists who are teaching their white children and other young people to be racists, bigots, nativists, and xenophobes are also making a mistake. When you teach your children to devalue others you are in turn teaching them to devalue you as well.
