I disagree, and please check the stats, and even that's too low. The thing is that #telcoin doesn't operate like every crypto, as a matter of fact the manner in which they operate will allow them to thrive.
Permanently?!!! You should note that #telcoin is a GSMA member, which isn't an easy feat. Did you know that Sprint, ATT, Verizon, and TMobile are members as well.
WP p21 $TEL says that they'll only partner with GSMA members. ~$138B in remittance was sent by immigrants from the US in 2016. That's ~25% of the worldwide amount. So there's a need, and the telcos know it. Telcos will get #Telcoin for free (= 100% profit).
I've explained why $TEL will be able to penetrate in 2a/b, but you're using tunnel vision. #Telcoin is targeting the unbanked, and the center of mobile money is Africa. The focus is on Europe, Africa, Asia corridors in Q1 19, not the US.
You said it right " M-Pesa ... already has numerous booths/service locations..." $TEL isn't trying to compete with M-Pesa, but partner up with them. Btw M-Pesa is Vodafone's mobile money (GSMA member). I just explained this notion.
And Claude, the CEO, even addressed it here () Start at 2:25 min. Check out page 13 of the WP as well.
Only common factor between the 2 is conversion to fiat. Can you send $BTC via sms? NO. Does the unbanked understand #crypto? NO. Can I easily cash out $BTC to fiat, EVERYWHERE? NO. #Telcoin will quickly have access to all Telco subscibers.
Regulation COULD be far away. At least $TEL is ready for the bloodbath. You said it yourself, the barriers to entry in the Telco industry are substantial. #Telcoin will be dealing with gov't, money, etc. They better dot their i’s & cross their t’s
Guess what! (Cricket+MetroPCS) aren't GSMA members. Like I said before, #Telcoin will only partner up with GSMA full members, and GSMA has strict rules and application process. $TEL
How is that steep? The Telcos get $TEL for free. #Telcoin takes care of converting coins to local currency, which is why they need licenses. They provide telcos with international interoperability. The telcos are going to make so much money, it's insane!
I disagree, check #5. Can my grandpa buy $BTC on his own? Guess what though, my grandpa will buy #telcoin through his telco, send it to me, and I'll cash out into my local currency through my telco. Easy! That's the advantage.
@CryptoMedicated much respect, but I urge you to dive deeper into $TEL!
