DOJ's report includes a detailed breakdown of why certain parents were considered ineligible to be part of the class for reunification. Reasons range from an outstanding DUI warrant to a murder warrant, a determination an adult was not a parent, danger to the child, disease
It appears the government is still trying to figure out what's going on with one child whose parent may be a US citizen (in an earlier filing, the govt said the child may be a US citizen) — filing today says child was separated from her parent in 2015 when the parent was arrested
For parents who were already removed from the US, the government said it couldn't give a firm time frame for when they might be able to reunify those families — they're working with the ACLU to try to find them
Today's filing doesn't include any new info on the estimated number of kids 5-17 who may fall under Sabraw's order — reunification deadline is July 26. Govt says it has agreed to give the ACLU a list of identified class members by Friday
