Latest university on losing side of due process decision is @CalPoly. CA state judge accuses university appellate officer of being "wrong" and "misleading" on key facts of the case.
Judge notes significant @CalPoly procedural problems--lack of notice as to specifics of allegation, lack of opportunity for acc'd student to meaningfully respond. Accuser was never questioned; key evidence was another student's 2nd-hand recollection 5 months later.
Because judge finds no substantial evidence for the allegation, he declines to remand the case to @CalPoly & simply sets aside finding.

It is time to re-examine the idea that a sitting president cannot be indicted. Following that re-examination it will also be time to reject the idea. First, we need to remind the majority of American people that this is not a law nor is it a constitutional requirement.
Rather the idea is a Department of Justice guideline. However, it is one that runs directly contrary to the idea that no man or woman is above the law-including the president of the United States. This is idea is a founding principle of this Republic,born of the abuses of a king.
The argument that presidents should not be indicted is based on a couple of core theories. One is that such indictments would distract presidents from their duties. This is a flawed notion on several levels.

Five years ago today, two bombs exploded near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Three people died, and hundreds were injured. Later that week, all hell broke loose in the Boston area. We still don't know who built the bombs.
In 2015, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was found guilty of bombing the marathon and killing an MIT police officer. He was sentenced to death. The FBI seems to have moved on. But key facts in the case are missing. This is a thread about the loose ends.
The bombings happened on Marathon Monday, April 15, 2013, at around 2:50pm. For days, the government wouldn't say anything about whether it had suspects. Then, on Thursday April 18, at around 5:20pm, the FBI released photos of its suspects.
