Have a slight problem that I can't think the phrase 'it's hot' without playing out that whole Ray Winston bit in Sexy Beast in my head with the Ray Winston voice.
'It's hot. It's fucking hot. What, too hot? No, not for me. I love it.'
Actually becomes quite irritating after two straight months of that being the only thing in your head.

Quick reminder that most Tory MPs - not some, most - are deeply misinformed.
Their constituents have tried. They have been sent material constantly over the last two and a half years and regularly emailed, all of it to inform them about basic facts over Brexit. They've ignored them and read the Telegraph.
Echo chamber culture is not just about social media. It is in parliament too.

I really do try with the echo chamber thing, but nearly every day I have to unfollow someone on the other side just because of the rampant conspiracy theory tosh.
There are still lots of Leave voters in my stream, but all of them have either changed their mind, or become so disillusioned by Brexit that they're just mostly in pain or resignation.
Anyone still actively and enthusiastically supporting it has had to go through so many emotional and intellectual contortions that they've start to look quite insane.

Yeah, so in games in which Talib played, the opposing offenses were Raiders, Cardinals (twice), Chargers (really good!), Lions, Bears, Eagles, 49ers.

2. Yesterday, the Times published an op-ed headlined, “Trump is crude. But he’s right about Saudi Arabia.” This not only defended Trump's Saudi policy but also, crucially, argued Mohammed bin Salman was only legitimate ruler of Saudi Arabia.
3. Op-ed was written by two think tankers, Michael Doran, a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute and Tony Badran, a research fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies. What might those be, you ask?

*Thread on Sobriety*

Lots of people have been asking me to talk about why I am sober and how I don’t participate in drugs/drinking while I party at clubs in Vegas, Seoul, Hong Kong, and more.

So, here it is....
The Why: I went sober because I realized my life wasn’t where I wanted it to be.

I wanted a different lifestyle than I was living. And I knew I couldn’t get there by playing out the same patterns and routines.
I noticed how participating in drugs/alcohol made me emotionally unstable too. I wasn’t able clearly understand to my emotions or relate to them.

And while people in crypto say, “fuck your emotions,” the truth is, they are VERY important to living a fulfilled and happy life.

Writers! I am far from the first to say this but you could do worse than study last night’s game if you want to think about suspense, because it was perfectly plotted. So I’ve put together this thread to explain more (drawing on @jyintothewoods’ 5 Act structure as I’m a fan)
Act 1: you establish the characters, the heroes and the villains, the first half culminating in the should’ve been red card doing this perfectly and setting up the drama.

And of course our goodies have shadows hanging over them, long carried failures, so much to prove.
Act 2: Then from adversity our hero scores! And for a while all goes well, before disaster strikes at the very moment victory seems assured (Act 3, mid point). Suddenly the ending, the penalties, are inevitable but this just adds to the drama.

ALLERGIES; intolerances; inability to reach the shelf they're on; no means of recycling it properly; the grip doesn't work with our health issues -- the list GOES ON.
Yet, people who are trying to problem solve *always* say this:
"... there are so many alternatives - bamboo, card, metal - all sustainably sourced, all highly recycled... Why do we need to have a consultation on this when the answer is so evident. "
