That's going to happen when you delete actual users & sites list accounts as 'shadow banned' regardless if they are or not. You're driving away a large segment of your biz.
Most of the sites I've checked accounts for 'shadow ban' have only shown accounts with a right leaning slant as being 'shadow banned' but some of the worst left leaning accounts do not. Twitter has to fix this or continue to lose large numbers of users.
If these sites listing accounts as 'shadow banned' are incorrect, Twitter has to figure out a way to counter that. Doesn't matter if the sites are correct or not, perception is reality. I've seen some left leaning Twitter accounts claim to be shadow banned, but not on sites.
If people believe they are being restricted, left or right, they will move to something else or if they feel the platform no longer serves a purpose. Look at what happened to MySpace!!!
Also, rather than banning or shutting down accounts that people report (mostly over political disagreements), just create an auto block feature that both accounts are blocked from seeing each other entirely, tweets or the account itself. Unless, the account is promoting violence.
