The Kochs & their political network are responsible for installing tons and tons of Republican state and federal lawmakers. The latter have let Trump do whatever he wants, haven't held him accountable in any way, & refuse to subpoena his tax returns.
It doesn't matter how many times Charles Koch quotes Frederick Douglass. He has helped caused the current immigrant crisis that he allegedly opposes.
What the Kochs and their company have gotten from the GOP—enormous tax cuts, regulations slashed left and right, social welfare cuts, etc.—was well worth it for them despite temporary tariffs and restricted immigration. They know this, and will continue to fund the far right.
Having reported on the Kochs for five years now, I firmly believe that everything they do—even donations to the United Negro College Fund or to cancer centers—is entirely to increase their corporate profits. Absolutely everything.
(And it's also important to point out that despite claiming they never spent to help Trump in 2016, they spent lots of cash on Senate ads excoriating Hillary Clinton & tying the Dem Senate candidate to her.)
