As a taxpayer, and someone whom @the_tpa claims to speak for, I’d be very interested to know how I can join this “grassroots” organisation and influence its policy. (Its website is full of information on how to donate: less forthcoming about how to join and influence its policy.)
A “grassroots” organisation that is impossible for an ordinary person to join seems to me to be a contradiction in terms.
One area where I would like @the_tpa to be more active on my behalf is examining the misuse of the charitable tax exemption to fund political campaigning organisations. That is a clear waste of taxpayers’ money. But I can’t see that @LowTaxChloe has ever touched that issue.
I’d be interested to hear @LowTaxChloe’s answers to those questions (which, unlike hers, can’t be answered by googling or consulting Wikipedia). /ends
