#Sabarimala Very few Hindus outside southern states know about Swami Ayyappa the Deity at Sabrimalai n its significance.
Every Hindu is afraid of Shani Dev due to "Sadesaati". everyone wants Shani's curse to be minimum.

Fed up with the constant fear of Shani Devta some disciples of Swami Ayyappa met him n asked him if there is some way by which they can forever get rid from Shani Dev's curse "Sadesaathi".

Swami Ayyappa told the bhakts if they live a life of beggar for 40 days per year for 17 yrs they will be forever in all life cycles free from Shani Dev's curse.

beggars life means:
wearing black clothes.
no oil to hair.
sleeping on ground.
twice bath daily with cold water.
brahmachari.(celibacy)
no footwear.
self cooked food.
wearing mala.
this is the most difficult Vartha to be followed. the people who follow this Vartha is accorded

the highest respect. If a Ayyappa bhakt enters a train/bus even old men n women makes place for him n force him to sit. even women from rich families touches the feet of this bhakts n offer them prasad n do his puja.
why : when there is complete degeneration around us eveteasing,

molestation, illicit relationship, general loss of ethics n morality n here r lacs/crores of married/unmarried men living a life of celibate for 40 days, tough.
Swami Ayyappa's only other condition is no women of reproductive age should enter the Sabrimalai temple.

if the tradition of women of reproductive age entry is broken will those men taking this tough Vartha continue. there is chance that once permission for women entry is given the feminists even during periods will visit the temple. Ayyappa bhakts r not supposed to see women with

periods.
