Y'all know there's a difference between "this is problematic" and "this doesn't encapsulate my personal experience as X marginalization" right
A work featuring your marginalization in a way YOU PERSONALLY have not experienced does not make it problematic. Labeling it so could mean silencing someone who has lived that experience. Don't take away their right to seeing representation
Especially if the work is created by someone who has *lived said experience*. You cannot say a person's lived experience is problematic. You cannot police how people share their stories, especially when marginalized creators are already struggling to have their stories heard
People see marginalized stories in an impossible dichotomy of black or white, good or bad. That's so unrealistic. Nothing in life is black or white--it's fucking grey. Morally grey. Just because a depiction doesn't look ideal to YOU doesn't make it bad. It's just goddamn grey
