Ahhh, another white dude coming along claiming W.E.B. DuBois, Ella Baker, Fannie Lou Hamer, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr., James Baldwin, bell hooks, Cornel West, and countless other “minorities” haven’t known what’s best for them.

This “everything with the word ‘Socialism’ in it = authoritarianism” line is extremely old.

Actually, it’s decades old.

Y’all really need to find another line or choose another flavor of propaganda to run with, because this one ain’t it, and it’s fundamentally wrong.

We’re sure there are plenty of private PR agencies gearing up to start more astroturfing and bad-jacketing campaigns as a means to misrepresent and manipulate real Leftists, but we’re gonna be focused on building the alternative in the field, so again, y’all gotta try harder.

We know @AOC has been speaking with @StephanieKelton and other #MMT folks.

She’s been doing a GREAT job handling the “how are we gonna pay for it?” questions, but here are key points to remember:

• Gold standard ended in 1971.

• We have a fiat currency.

• Money is credit.
Our “tax dollars” don’t actually “pay for” things.

The Federal Reserve actually makes all of the Treasury payments, and it has been this way since 1913.

It gets more complicated than this, but:

1) Treasury has Fed CREDIT bank reserves.

2) Banks credit accounts (DIGITALLY).
The Treasury spends by having the central bank credit bank reserves.

The Treasury receives tax payments by debiting bank reserves.

This is pretty much (systematically) like burning paper notes.

We have special banks now (like dealer banks, for example), but that’s the gist.

Since our start on social media, we’ve tried time & time again to explain what State Capitalism is & how it differs from Socialism/Communism.

The Southern labor movement has a long, successful, & noisy history.

The reason you don't hear about it? It doesn't fit the image of the South as backwards & obedient to its masters. Labor activism has been sold as all about white guys in northern factories and it's just NOT.
Textile mills in NC were the site of some of the largest strikes in US history.

Loray Mills in 1929: strikes fizzled after key organizers were murdered. But they set the stage for ramped-up labor activism & victories across the entire US. You're welcome!

Martin Luther King, Jr. spent every day of his life knowing that a bullet may come from out of nowhere and his life would end.
So every word mattered.
And every word did.
That kind of bravery is beyond uncommon...
and it's that kind of bravery that moves US as a people forward.
We need that kind of bravery now. We are up against an evil that is unparalleled in American History. We are so used to being dosed with the opiate of the masses that we've lost all sense of reality.
This man is going to destroy all of humanity if we don't stop him.
All of the good of humanity needs to join hands and stop this evil from destroying humanity.
It's crazy that it has come this far this fast but anyone watching knows it has. This is insane. Evil is now in control and we need to acknowledge it.
And we need to fight back.
