Worth recalling that something called “sweating sickness” could take a person healthy at breakfast and kill them by midday in Tudor Times. Morality 30-50%. Likely killed millions. Disease died out and we don’t know what is was, maybe a form of hanta virus mentalfloss.com/article/69901/…
This ^^ article lays out how that disease could have radically changed English/world history. If Arthur didn’t die, Henry never would have been king and Mary Catherine of Aragon, thus maybe no English Reformation, no Elizabeth I, etc etc
Even if that’s not what killed Arrhur, Henry VIII spent half his reign fleeing the swearing sickness, which helped speed many a change/dyspeptic purge of someone or another
