In the spirit of Education, let me do the ignorant generation a favor by showing you how diligently accountable people respond to defamation according to various researches on the subject. It is only when you learn that you become. There’s a difference between growth & swelling.
First thing first, defamation is a civil suit and never bumped up to a criminal act requiring a state of emergency or trumped up charges as crazy as terrorism allegation. The killer herdsmen are free today under some Governor’s payroll. No police statement till tomorrow.
Morally this is wrong but our constitution did not criminalize immorality. People under this admin’s payroll at the BMC Call Objective people who they fear & hate names. Even accuse us of being frauds just because we have refused to swallow their barbiturates under demonic oath.
The abuse of our institutions (Police especially) on a personal/Civil matter even when you are in a position of service is a chronic symptom corruption. At law, there is no case here because there is no harm suffered. There MUST be an actual harm. Socialmedia posts is not enough.
If only the enlightened people within the system are allowed to work, we won’t be here, but they are victims of oppression too and may never advance in career if they don’t support evil along political lines. This is what I mean by deliberate weakening of the institutions.
The people Adeyanju called names could’ve filed a suit and allow the competent court’s follow the rule of law but No. they chose to bully their way using state powers by abusing our institutions to oppress citizens holding them to account. How do U quantify an injury from posts?
Did you suddenly lose your business because of Deji’s opinion on his own TL? Did you suffer a nervous breakdown or heart attack? Or it is just your Ego that got deflated that the people you are meant to serve dare ask questions bordering on accountability? Where’s Integrity? 🤔
In any sane country and court there is no Case here. This is purely a human right abuse. Deji’s post didn’t influence @NGRSenate probe into NEMA, rather it was his reaction from the latter. Deji owns no media house and didn’t conduct any media trial based on falsehood.
The facts remain the same as presented and widely circulated in the media. The figures are the same. Unless it is now a crime to know or be conscious under the identity politics of hate (Populism) being forced down our throats. Defamation (libel) must prove falsehood.
The “NEMA parish” affair was real and the person in charge must take full responsibility until the specifics are set right to show otherwise. Deji didn’t indict anyone...the Senate did. Making him a scape goat for emoting is not backed by any part of our constitution. #MoralIty
Those illegally using the State to prosecute Deji could have gotten their personal lawyers to write Deji insisting that he desists and cease his slander/libel, proving to him that his rants are based on lies. If he then refuses to retract then there are grounds to proceed.
An apology is also part of retraction. If both parties sort their differences in a civil manner then a reputation management form like ours will then wade in and help rectify the possible damages if any. This is how responsible people solve issues in society without impunity.
Using @PoliceNG that has been indicted globally as the worst in the world to oppress and lock up people on charges plucked from the sky, because they criticize you or call you names points to lack of character and gross irresponsibility in the highest of places.
There are pressing National Security issues yet we further harm the dying Police institution for personal gains? Is this not further encouraging the Police to relapse and continue being guns for hire? @BBCAfrica @CNNAfrica @PremiumTimesng @abellodam @AMADICHIMA @AbdulMahmud01
Those justifying these are successful outcome of the deliberate weaponization of poverty which conditions people to normalize every affliction and live a life unfit for Cattle. They have dumbed down education and the strength of the nation (populous youth) are mostly Zombies.
This may seem like it is about Deji Adeyanju, but this is a simplistic way of looking at it. Digging deeper you will understand that it is about all of us. It could be anyone tomorrow. The evil precedent must be truncated. Many would rather allow their children inherit this.
But don’t be like them. Don’t normalize, sanction or reinforce evil. Because you are not yet directly involved shouldn’t make you fee, immune. There are hundreds of ‘Buharists’ who crawl to us for help on injustices daily & we don’t ask them why they didn’t go to their Coven.
Humanity connects us all. We also must endeavor to be civil if indeed we care about the release of Deji Adeyanju and wants the impunity truncated. Watch your words and stop accusing people if you don’t want to be accused. Stick to the issues and keep the pressure on Objectively.
No matter how advanced our civilization becomes, there will always be evil people who will want their inhumane concept to be indoctrinated as the Law. The floods will not hesitate to bring down your household but it remains the share will of the occupants to resist this.
The statements; The Revolution will not be televised and Power belongs to the people are often misconstrued. The first means no one will be expected to sit this out as couch potatoes and the other means you have to work for it. So take responsibility. No one will fight for you.
Those helping to propagate evil as unconscionable mercantilists have already chosen a future for their children and loved ones. No man chooses the consequences of his choice. We are suffering from the blunders of 2015 now. Another decision point approaches. #BeWise
