1/ this is a thread about my next documentary which is about a bird outside my house that is always sitting down. often it will sit on the doormat. 
2/ after many, many stills i started capturing video footage of the bird sitting:
3/ most birds perch. this one sits on its ass
4/ and today: the perfect shot worthy of a million attenborough moments - hours of my time spent waiting for this exact never-documented-before instant - my emmy award - my oscar....... the moment the bird sat down
5/ the film will be called BIRD, SITTING - and it will be at sundance in 2019
6/ the film’s poster will be based on this photo i took weeks ago. a study in symmetry; color; sitting.
7/ thematically BIRD, SITTING will talk to the universality of our lived experience - that despite our differences in politics and perspective, at the end of the day all we all want to do is just sit. down.
8/ that despite us all being stuck on this rock hurtling through space - with no idea *what we’re doing* or *what we mean* - with things increasingly uncertain and terrifying - that somewhere there is a bird, sitting.
9/ score will be by @chelseajade, @fazerdaze & @UMO - with brief bit by @hanszimmer in the middle during a montage. still working on financing but open to options. shot in 2.39 for cinema release.
10/ thank you for listening to my pitch. and to answer your questions, yes, there will be a narrative arc and other characters. but really, this is a film about how we’re all in this together. we’re all that bird, sitting. thank you.
