Had a canceled flight tonight, soooo who wants to talk about the @GeorgePapa19 sentencing memorandum?

Lots of interesting details in here.

1. The gov't said Papadopoulos lied repeatedly & was aware that doing so would hinder the Russia investigation...

2. The gov't calls out @simonamangiante for misleading the media.

She has said Papadopoulos “voluntarily reported” his convo about Russian “dirt” on Clinton...

But gov't says @GeorgePapa19 only brought it up after specific Qs from agents- and he did so in a misleading way

Specifically, the government says @GeorgePapa19 lied about his various connections to Russians- people he believed could help him arrange a foreign policy trip to Russia.

3. Then, this says that when he had a chance to correct the record, @GeorgePapa19 did not do so... and instead deactivated his Facebook account and ditched his phone (on which he communicated with his Russian connections)

4. This is important.

Because of the lies Papadopoulos told, the gov't says it was unable to arrest or question his Russia connection, who was in the U.S. at the time.

He fled in Feb and hasn't returned.

(BTW, was he in D.C. for the inauguration? What was he doing here?)

... that's also important because @simonamangiante has been making noise that @GeorgePapa19's Russia connection was an FBI informant. A set-up. (
