2) .....that is all we can do. However, decision lies with those who have the POWER to COUNT the votes, keep the ballots and announce the results. The Commissioners who run this organisation @ZECzim are supposed to be "independent".
3)....all commissioners are appointed by the President ( who also happen to be a candidate in the election) and desperate to WIN to sanitise the unconstitutional takeover of power (COUP) from the former president.
4)....the supreme/concourt judges were also appointed by the President ( most by the former & perhaps 1 or 2 by the current President.) The army is Zanu PF first then national army second. So are all major institutions in Zimbabwe incl the national broadcasters, ZBC,ZTV,ZIMPAPERS
5)....it is not a secret about the role of army and secret service in election campaigning, voting,influencing the outcome of every election. The November coup was effected on the basis of this realisation....that whoever controls the army and these institutions will influence...
...the outcome of the 2018 election. So the Zanu PF lacoste faction conveniently positioned itself where they could influence 2018 elections regardless of HOW people vote. Yes, opposition was allowed to campaign freely everywhere in the country.....to give the predetermined.....
.....election result some semblance of credibility in the eyes of the international community. Whatever happens at concourt tommorrow, Zimbabweans have a responsibility to ensure that national institutionas should not be abused by one political party to abuse the rights of its...
....we have to learn from our history. In 1977 the Patriotic Front made certain demands they wanted to be met before participating in an election to the Rhodesian gvt and they stuck to it. They continued the pressure via Chimurenga war to give a signal that they meant business.
9)....The combination of war and international pressure gave birth to Zimbabwe`s first revolution in 1980. The Rhodesian administration agreed to have a UN supervised election, the issue of army/security was discussed prior to elections etc.
10)....so if Zimbabweans dream of a second Revolution, an election or court will not deliver that. As stated above, they are already part of the establishment, so cannot. In this 21st century, revolutions are not achieved by guns, but by people power.
11)...Zimbabweans have 2 choices...be contend with the status quo, with Zanu PF and pray that at some point in future it may reform and separate the party from the national institutions as a one party state and still be able to revive the economy for the betterment of us all...
...in this scenario, there is no NEED for opposition parties, they serve no purpose other than to create animosity between supporters and possible loss of lives of mainly opposition supporters from the Zanu PF machinery....whilst probably their leaders` hands are greased by....
13)....wealthy Zanu PF politicians and business people. The second scenario, is to force Zanu PF to agree to ALL reforms inc if necessary, a UN supervised election by engaging in persistent PEACEFUL mass demonstrations/protests. This is provided for in our constitution..........
14)....if the opposition cannot stomach the idea of persistent peaceful mass demonstrations to force Zanu PF to agree to reforms.....better to accept reality that Zimbabwe is a one party state and conform to Zanu PF way of doing things...
