1/ Figured I'd get my two cents in on the Friday night news dump and the follow up 'behind the scenes' NYT piece. The first thing that jumps out is everything is Elon, in the first person. His deal. His proposal. Oh - and Elon hired ALL the bankers. $TSLA 
2/ More first person talk, and of course, he's even more convinced he coulda woulda shoulda got funding... $TSLA
3/ He proposed, he explored, he rescinded. The board just watched. Well, more like prepared themselves to watch... $TSLA
4/ The board plays its part. It was Elon's deal. We prepared to hear it. Elon did some exploring. Elon changed his mind. All good bros.. $TSLA
5/ Things get a little interesting in the NY Times piece. What exactly happened at the board meeting? Doesn't seem like much. GS and SL were there, but not MS. $TSLA
6/ SL gave a talk. Maybe it was called "Funding Securable", or something similar. Then the bankers leave. $TSLA
7/ Instead of a detailed discussion or formal proposal, Elon says "Meh, fuhgeddaboudit" $TLSA
8/ Drinks on me for lunch bros. Meeting over. $TLA
9/ Here's what fascinates me. The board doesn't appear to have hired bankers. Only a PR firm and some lawyers. And the bankers never worked for $TSLA, only Elon, in his personal capacity. And it seems they kept their focus narrow - funding, deal mechanics, shareholder input, etc.
10/ So no outside banker looked at the $TSLA books, it would seem. No bankers brought under the tent. No due diligence. Seems odd to me. Nice little bow on everything. Elon's personal proposal. No bankers look inside. Move along. Nothing to see here...
