First time when I went to Shimla many many years ago. I was starved for south Indian food, there was a veg restaurant with a board Hot Iddlis available, it was a mouth watering prospect , so I ordered one plate . He said " sir ji aap paanch minute intezar kineyae" I said OK
He took two iddlys from the freezer , took one cup of sambar from the fridge , he boiled the iddlys in sambar & served it to me piping hot, I had an eerie feeling about the whole episode . I took the spoon & inserted it into the iddly but the iddly was resisting my move
Battle between the spoon & iddly started, finally iddly won & spoon bumped off my hand. Iddly was so hard.
That's was my first lesson in tourism industry. While in Rome , be a Roman. Take local cuisine & you will enjoy it.
