Important DC statehood news: @SenDuckworth has signed on as a cosponsor of the D.C. Admission Act. There are now 29 Senate cosponsors. But 20 Democrats are still silent. That's inexcusable. Democrats need to vocalize statehood support. bit.ly/2Q5UcnT
There are some names missing from the cosponsor list that Democrats should reach out to. For instance: @ChrisMurphyCT, will you cosponsor DC statehood?

Recent polling from @DataProgress finds that 68% of Connecticut voters support statehood. Join them! bit.ly/2M7IRpa
Another glaring set of names missing from the cosponsor list for DC statehood are @SenWhitehouse and @SenJackReed. A full 70% of Rhode Island voters support DC statehood. Senators, will you cosponsor the statehood bill?
Democrats should be about making democracy fairer and more accessible to all Americans. To that end, DC statehood is a critical democracy reform: right now, a majority of the Senate represents just 18% of the country’s population.
