There once lived a proud Stag (Ìgalà). While wandering in the forest, he came upon a pond. He stopped there to drink water in order to quench his thirst. As he bent down, he saw his own reflection in the water. “How beautiful are my antlers!" he thought, admiring its long curves.

As the Stag was admiring his antlers, he suddenly noticed his legs. “Ohh! Look at my skinny legs. I cannot believe God has given me both beautiful antlers and such ugly legs," he thought. The proud stag now felt ashamed of his legs. His pride vanished.

“These ugly legs are no match for my beautiful antlers," he thought.

Just then the stag heard the roar of a lion. When he turned around he saw a lion charging at him. “Oh no!," screamed the stag and ran as fast as he could.

The stag felt the lion’s breath close to him, “I must get into the densest part of the forest where there are many branches. The lion will not be able to catch me in that part of the forest," thought the stag.

So, with this thought in mind, the stag ran into an area where there were many bushes and branches. Soon the stag had left the lion far behind.

“Ah, I outsmarted the lion," thought the stag proudly. But all of a sudden his antlers got entangled between the trunks of two trees standing close to each other. “Aaarghh!" cried the stag, as he had to stop at once.

The more he tried to free himself, the more difficult it became. As the stag was struggling to get free, the lion came nearer and nearer.

“How I praised my horns and cursed my legs. Now I know the real value of my legs which almost took me to safety," wailed the stag.

Just as the Stag was consumed with blaming God for what he deemed as a flaw in his design... The lion pounced on the stag and killed him. That was the end of the proud stag.

The Almighty God has a reason for his designs, be you short, tall, fat or thin. He made you according to your purpose as unique to you. We may never understand His Wisdom but we sure must Trust His Will. If your ride through life is not as smooth as you’d love, don’t blame God.

The Ego is the veil between Humans and God. His strength is made perfect in your weakness. If you are patient and trusting enough in your walk with Him, you will find out why you are just the way you are. Never compare yourself to anyone and give thanks always in all situation.

When you fail to appreciate the ingenuity of God’s masterpiece as perfected in you, all your inherent blessings become a curse. Remember the new political party that fortuitously got a bestowed with Presidential victory? They blamed everyone including God until it became a curse.

You also recall the Administration that got so conceited and took everything for granted until a Protest party succeed at using propaganda to unseat them from power? In both cases they took their blessings for granted and ruined a great advantage to govern the most blessed Nation

Right now I know you think you are not rich enough, known enough, educated enough or even have followers enough to make impact but you are very wrong. God never started a thing unless he has finished it first. You have all it takes if only you look deep within you. U’re complete!

My elders would say....Ọkụkọ nwa ogbenye bụ ehi ya.
The poor person's chicken is his cow. Meaning: Be contented of your possessions no matter how small it may appear. Never compare yourself with anyone or underestimate what you can not change as endowed by God.

There is nothing like equality in Life. You are equal to No one and no one is equal to you. God made us all uniquely and that is why you are all a Distinguished in my view. We may be equal before the law (Equity, Fairness, Justice) but must never hope to be equal to another.

I have many (materially) wealthy acquaintances & clients of years who are not half as happy as most of us Online without regular income. Some of these people rarely sleep for the fear of losing their wealth. They read papers religiously & attend costly functions just to appease.

That is their own rat race. They make enemies each time they are not present at high class functions. Their gift must be conspicuous lest they are yanked off the juicy contractors list or blacklisted from the corridor of power. You and I don’t have such worries. We simply live.

The Bills the material wealth of most are gulping can never be maintained if there is no link to power or some leakages in the system. So for the rest of their lives, they may never get to rest for fear of becoming poor. Forget the charade and Instagram photos.

Give thanks for where you are. Worry less and never put yourself under any undue pressure. If God wills it to happen it will happen. If not you will live to experience your manifestation and those seeming disappointments will become a testimony. Don’t sweat it. Trust Him.

The poorest people in our clime are those ensnarled by avarice. The world will never be enough for them and with great material wealth comes the lust for power to secure it. With power, the thirst for perpetuity becomes the next addiction. You know how that story ends.
